Lisa Malatesta
Manager
I commenced with Morrissey in 1995, initially in the role of Administration trainee, since then I have performed various roles within the Morrissey hierarchy structure giving me an in-depth insight and understanding of organisational beliefs and the importance of client and carer support services.
I continue to be a major contributor in guiding and navigating Morrissey Homestead Incorporation through the various ever-changing worlds of a disability and aged care provider, while ensuring current and new clients have assurances and the stability of a dedicated team of professionals.
Michelle Ferguson
Assistant Manager
I have been part of the Morrissey team since 2006, coming on board as an Activity Assistant utilising & sharing my passion for art, working within many roles, initiating & developing new programs and over the time developing effective and efficient operational management.
My experience within the organisation in compliance, strategic & organisational development and navigating the ever-changing legislations ensures Morrissey remains compliant and clients and carers receive high quality care services.

Morrissey Homestead is governed by a proactive, forward-thinking voluntary Board consisting of professional people who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the organisation.
CHRISTINE Morgan
Chair/Community Representative
Experience in Dementia Care and a founding member of the Bunbury Alzheimer’s Association. Managed the HACC program, National Respite for Carers Program and Aged Care Packages under the Auspice of Bethanie Group.
SHERYL Sala
Deputy Chair/Community Representative
Bunbury local for the past 45 years, Sheryl has a background in Technical Training with Tronox. Sheryl previously managed an Aged Care service when the permanent Manager had an extended leave of absence. Sheryl has since retired from her professional life and joined the Board. Sheryl has been involved for a number of years with the Great Cycle Challenge – to raise funds to help fight kids’ cancer. Sheryl Lives by the motto ‘Have the best life!
ANNETTE Whitelaw
Community Representative
Annette has an extensive knowledge of the Disability and Aged Care sector gained whilst in the position of Manager of Morrissey (1987 – 2009). Annette was instrumental in the development of Morrissey through various successful funding applications. Throughout her Managerial, Annette was successful, in particular with the construction of the Bunbury facilities in 1992 and negotiated with the Shire of Harvey to lease property to construct the Leschenault Day Centre.
GEOFF Klem
Community Representative
Geoff Klem is a qualified town planner and project manager with extensive experience in statutory and strategic planning, project management and policy development. He is a former Principal Advisor to the Deputy Premier, Policy Director in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, a member of the WA Planning Commission and the Disability Services Commission. Geoff currently operates his own planning and project management consultancy and has recently completed 14 projects for the revitalisation of the Collie CBD. This work received a National award for civic design.
MARGARET Robertson
Community Representative
Retired librarian who has worked in the industry for over 40 years. Marg is an active member of the Rotary Club – Bunbury, previously holding position of Treasurer and President. Marg was previously involved in the “Sail into life” project.
AMELIA Harrington
Community Representative
Varied professional background, in the mining industry before moving into the maritime industry in recent years. With a strong business acumen and analytical mind, Amelia has held several financial roles, including Business Manager of their successful family business, before moving into her most recent role of Revenue Analyst.
DEL Ambrosius
Community Representative
Worked as a Communications Officer for the City of Bunbury, at the Bunbury Library Local Studies Collections Officer, a journalist for the South Western Times, Government Media Office and ABD radio presenter & producer. Del enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
PAUL Diggins
Community Representative
An extensive background management, marketing, promotions and finances. Paul is the Dealer Principal for the Southwest Vehicle Group. He has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business (Marketing). Is a member of the Rotary Club of Bunbury/Greater Bunbury and the Bunbury Aero Club.

Provide valuable insights and guidance to help shape our strategies and ensure we stay aligned with our goals.
Consumer Advisory Body
Morrissey engages our Consumer Advisory Body to gather feedback from members, allowing you to share concerns and ideas about the services and care you receive.
The Morrissey Board will review all feedback when making decisions and will communicate the outcomes to members in writing.
Members of the consumer advisory body will:
- Provide valuable feedback & lived experiences about the quality-of-care services to advise the Board, giving clients a voice in relation to service operations, planning & policy reviews.
- Identify opportunities for improvement.
- Suggest agenda items for the meetings.
- Provide feedback on how you feel the consumer advisory group is performing.
- May have some reading and preparation before the meeting.
- Complete surveys
- Review draft documents.
Quality Care Advisory Body
The Morrissey Quality Care Advisory Body is made up of key personnel, client representatives & direct care staff who meet twice a year to discuss client care feedback from clients and representatives, continuous improvements plans, quality and compliance recommendations, staffing arrangements and complaints made in relation to services.
Any raised concerns are then tabled at our Board meetings with an outcome reported back to the Body.
