At Morrissey, we are here to support your need to take a break knowing that your loved one is in a safe and supportive environment. Depending on your situation Respite can be available for a few hours, days, or longer.
Here at Morrissey, our Respite Coordinator will work with you to navigate the process and advise you on accessing funding.
At Morrissey Homestead, we offer:

• Overnight, Cottage Respite or weekend
• Longer periods of Respite and Emergency Respite
• NDIS – Short Term Accommodation

Morrissey is able to tailor our boutique respite to the individual client to ensure working toward goals, continuity of care, the client to be settled, safe and happy in our alternative homely environment.

Day Centre
Morrissey recognises respite care as an essential service to be considered when developing your comprehensive plan.
Funded through the Commonwealth Home Support Program, Home Care Package or the NDIS clients can access Day Centre Respite from Monday to Friday.
The day center offers a welcoming environment perfect for group activities, socialising, and building peer connections. It is designed to foster a sense of community while being flexible to meet the unique needs and abilities of each client. Whether participating in group sessions or engaging in personalised activities, clients are supported in a way that enhances their individual growth and social bonds.
At the Day Centre, morning teas and meals are available for a small cost, or clients are welcome to bring their own meals in a well-insulated lunch bag. This ensures everyone can enjoy a comfortable and flexible dining experience that suits their preferences.
Our centres are fully secured giving reassurance of client safety.

Overnight Respite Services
We understand the importance of respite care in creating a well-rounded support plan.
Respite can be funded through your Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) or your Home Care Package (HCP) and available nights will depend on your package.
CHSP Cottage respite is available Monday to Thursday while HCP Overnight respite is available Monday through Sunday.
Morrissey can also assist you as a Private Client, with services tailored to your needs. Each service will be quoted based on your specific requirements.
Clients can choose between a social, group-based environment at our day centre or receive more personalised care at one of our purpose-built facilities. Both centres are fully secured, ensuring the safety and well-being of all clients.
Respite care is available on short notice, including in emergencies, and can accommodate longer stays to provide support when needed at either our Bunbury or Australind locations.

NDIS Short Term Accommodation
Short term accommodation funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
At Morrissey, we endeavour to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can expect to try new things, make new friends and develop skills.
Our short-stay accommodation is designed with accessibility and comfort in mind, ensuring a welcoming environment for individuals with disabilities. Each space is equipped with features that prioritise safety and ease of movement, allowing you to enjoy your stay without worry.
