Morrissey Homestead continues to evaluate and offer a variety of programs for our young adults with disabilities. Our aim is to enable our young adults to be active within the community and fully participate in age appropriate activities.
This vibrant group meet every Tuesday at our Leschenault venue and participate in physical and life skills programs. The "Life Skills" program, has been developed to equip young adult clients with knowledge, and to raise awareness on sensitive issues that are relevant today. The issues are discussed in a non-judgemental forum, facilitated by staff.
A cooking class is also offered to clients, where they learn all aspects of cooking including the importance of meal planning, budgeting, and the great benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
The group meet every Saturday of each month.
